Daddy told me about this, and I thought it was hysterical. Upon researching it, I find it even more impressive and hysterical!

Jim and I were going to spend this weekend with friends in Florida, but then Jim was put on overtime at work and we had to cancel our trip. In the end, Jim ended up getting Saturday off (they broke the bird or something) and we took a trip to Tunica. It was a quick trip — we drove over Saturday morning and back Sunday morning.
We started off playing the slot machines. We played for about 30 minutes when Jim hit the jackpot! Bells and whistles started sounding. Casino employees came over! It was quite exciting! But, when I say ‘jackpot’, I mean ‘jackpot’ for that machine. He ended up winning $625.00! We didn’t break the bank, but at least it funded our trip (and was really fun)!
Later we played the blackjack table and I had a terrific time. We started off with $20.00 between us and left the table with $114.00. We would have left with$ 129.00, but I “let me play one more-ed” until I’d lost 15.00! If I had known how much fun the blackjack table could be, I wouldn’t have wasted time on the slots.
All in all, we had a great weekend!
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone! I was thinking this morning of the Valentine’s Days of my childhood. Every year, Daddy would give us each a small box of heart-shaped candy. He didn’t hand the candy to us, or put it by our place at the table. Nope — every year, he would place the small box of candy in our plates at the breakfast table. Those are great memories!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Birthday, Christopher (one day late!!!). I love you VERY MUCH! Have a happy 19th!
That is the question! More often than not lately, the answer has been NOT TO BLOG! Why? I’m not sure. There are things I need to blog — things I should blog — things I would like to blog, but for some reason I am unmotivated. I spent last weekend with Kay, Kelly, and Kendrick in Franklin, TN, at a guard competition. I have an entire camera of pictures, but have yet to take the pictures off the camera, much less post them. I bought a new camera and intended to blog about it, but haven’t. Do you see a pattern here? I do too! Maybe I will get better….. maybe.
