This is a beautiful sunset we had at our house Wednesday. Storms were all around and eventually we had a bit of thunder:
Ya know…. I thought that The Electric Company was the show I dreamed up in my imagination. On the way home today, I realized it was actually the show Zoom that I was remembering!!! While I liked The Electric Company, I LOVED Zoom!!! Does anyone else remember this show? It seems that it has been renewed for a whole new generation!
Come on and ZOOM ZOOM ZOOMA ZOOM!
Come on and ZOOMA ZOOMA ZOOMA ZOOM!!!!!
WOW! I found something that I want. I mean REALLY. I was almost beginning to believe that I had invented this show in my imagination, but now I have proof that The Electric Company did exist! A four DVD set of the best of The Electric Company is now available! How I loved this show!!! What a trip down memory lane!
I really really want this.
Of course this didn’t affect me personally, but I’ve been following the story of the trapped miners in West Virginia. I was very upset this morning to hear that all but one of the miners died. What’s worse is that the families were told (through an obvious miscommunication) just the opposite and believed all miners survived but one. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the miners, the rescuers, the rescuer’s families, and the entire community.
I did it! I managed to not shop in Walmart for an entire year! Yes, today is my anniversary. Realizing that there is nothing in Walmart that I cannot get elsewhere has been very liberating. Do you have any idea how nice it is to shop in an actual grocery store instead of the circus-setting of Walmart??? The grocery store has friendly employees. And they have the same employees for long durations. The store isn’t loud and overrun with rude people. It’s truly enjoyable (well, as enjoyable as grocery shopping can be).
I did go into Walmart, but that only reaffirmed how deep my loathing for the place is. I went in with Daddy to get some vitamins. I didn’t actually purchase anything, and just being in there made my skin crawl!
If I’m ever with Jim or the kids and they want to go to Walmart, I just wait in the car! Insane? Maybe I am, but it sure has been a nice year. I challenge everyone to avoid Walmart for a set amount of time. Start with a month and see how much better it makes you feel!
